Blog of week 2, second semester

Selamat Siang Dear Parents,

We are already done with the second week of this new semester and so many projects and events are on the agenda.  It’s been a fantastic start!

Last week, for our Indonesian culture class, our Green School students visited our friends in the local school to share some games that are popular in our cultures and countries. It was so exciting to see everyone having so much fun playing these games!

For Literacy we have had another very busy week, working on lots of different projects.  We have been continuing to prepare for our debates, have begun working on sharing some correspondence with some pen pals in Switzerland and have of course continued practising our reading.  Amongst all of this, we are beginning to get excited about the school’s Ogoh-Ogoh and Nyepi celebrations.  We are beginning to get started on our own Ogoh-Ogoh’s and can’t wait to see it completed.  In a lovely link, we have been using these Ogoh-Ogoh in numeracy also this week.  We have been learning about fractions and dimensions and have been applying these as we prepare to build the Ogoh-Ogoh.

Please make sure that children always come to school prepared, particularly with:

-Water bottles

-shoes for PW

– Raincoat and/or umbrella

On behalf of the Grade 4 team, we wish you a good week.

Terima kasih,

Team Grade 4
