Green School High School is honoured to announce that famed social psychologist, Dr. Philip Zimbardo, will be returning to campus this week along with his partner Dr. Christina Maslach!
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Zimbardo back to campus and to meet Dr. Maslach! Dr. Christina Maslach is a social psychologist and a professor of psychology who specializes in occupational burnout. She will be hosting a lecture for faculty and community members at 1:15pm in the Sangkep.
Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Stanford University, Dr. Philip Zimbardo first became known for his 1971 Stanford Prison experiment, an illuminating study that explored the ease at which average, good people are capable of atrocious acts when put in bad situations. His research into the psychology of evil has now led him in the direction of promoting goodness and heroic action as an antidote to evil. He now travels the world cultivating heroes, which brings him back to us at the Green School!
Dr. Zimbardo will host a lecture on ‘The Secret Powers of Time and Everyday Heroes”–open to high school students, faculty and community members in the Sangkep at 2:10pm.
