Geckos ~ Week 4 Term 1

Dear Parents and Friends,

Greetings!

We love to play! Playing is a way for us to connect to others. We learn how to share, take turn, respect others, and take care of things around us through playing various games.  We can create something new or maybe just exploring things around us.

During thematic lesson, the children created their family picture. “Let’s draw your family member!” Here they are….

We created bracelet for our loved one using various kinds of beads.

As a group, we did the first cutting activity. We cut two circles and one triangle. Snip snap, snipety snap! Then we glued them on the paper to make face collage art.

In Bamba Jam with Pak Duncan, we explored different sounds from each piece of Bamba Jam instrument. Learning how to be a music conductor was also fun.

We practiced rolling, bouncing, and kicking ball during P.E Class with Pak Garret and Pak Putu.

Green Studies! Pak Brett took us to the garden in Kindy B area. We planted bean seeds and cucumber. Grow grow grow seed!!

Ibu Russlee played Yoga Bear song during Yoga Class. We danced and exposed more yoga poses.

In Cooking Class, we made Mango Sticky Rice. So delicious!!

During Bahasa Class, Ibu Par introduced colors and numbers through a game.

A couple reminders:

  1. Tomorrow, September 1st, school closed in observance of National Holiday.

  2. Wednesday, September 6t, there will be an Early Years Potluck Breakfast party from 8:15-9:30 am. All Early Years (Pre-K Geckos, Pre-K Starlings, Kindy A and Kindy B) parents are invited to join their children and classroom teachers for this fun potluck style breakfast for the first hour and a half of school. Please bring something healthy to share. (Fruit, vegetables, healthy baked goods or pre-made smoothies are great!). We are unable to heat / cook anything there so whatever you bring should be ready to eat. We will provide banana leaf plates and some cutlery but please bring your own serving utensils. The breakfast will take place in the Kindy eating area next to the pirate ship and children will be welcome to play inside of Kindy A classroom or outside (in that area) during that time. We hope to see you all there.

Thank you for your continued support.

Enjoy your long weekend and see you back at school on Monday.

With love,

Ibu Kadek, Ibu Par, Ibu Pitri
