Geckos ~ Week 5 Term 1

Dear Parents and Friends,

As one of our highlight last week, the children created this “Walking Feet and Gentle Hands Promises” printed on a canvas. We agreed that everyone must use their walking feet inside of the classroom (means no running) and we must always use our gentle hands with everyone.

We learned that “sharing is caring”.

Sharing blanket as one of our ritual at Resting Time

This is the last week for our thematic lesson “My Family and My Self”. We talked about mother earth, father sun, sister rain, and brother wind as well as exploring them through songs, movements, and art projects.

During P.E Class, Pak Garret was not able to join us and we met Pak Edu and Pak Putu. We practiced our gross motor skills ability through bowling using our water bottles as the pins as well as catching, bouncing and throwing balls.

Pak Brett took us for a walk to visit the ducks and the fish. Always remember to water the plants in our gar Geckos!

We made Banana Muffin during Cooking Class. We cut, smashed, stirred, mixed, poured, and ate.

Walking through the jungle today. The children requested again to visit the pig and piglets, and the cow. We love going on an adventure!

Here are some more of our fun activities this week:

Yoga Class with Ibu Russlee. Relaxing Yoga to end the class 🙂

We learned our body parts in Bahasa Indonesia with Ibu Par. Mata (eyes), hidung (nose), mulut (mouth), telinga (ears), tangan (hands), and kaki (feet)

We would like to send our gratitude to everyone of you for participating during our first Early Years Potluck Breakfast on Wednesday. We enjoyed the time of being together with you all and the children had some fun.

Next week, we will be exploring a new thematic unit “Community Helper” which will be focusing to the people around school who helps us and what their jobs are. Also we’ll talk about people’s job outside of school as well as “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. Looking forward to have more fun 🙂

Once again, thank you very much for all of your support and love.

Have a lovely weekend and see you at school on Monday.

With love,

Ibu Kadek, Ibu Par, Ibu Pitri
