Dear Parents and Friends,
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful time during the holiday. We are so delighted to see the Geckos children back at school. The first week of Term 2 was filled with joy. We explored our new thematic unit “Fairy Tale” which will last for five weeks. This week, we started with a fairy tale “The Three Little Pigs”. The children listened to storytelling, sang songs and created art project related to the theme.

Acting out a song “Jack and Jill”
On Monday, we had Niluh, from Starling as a Mystery Guest visited our class. She taught us how to make curtain. We decorated a piece of fabric then we needed to find stick to hang the curtain. It was so amazing in how she led the activities with the Geckos.
For the thematic lesson, we created the three pig’s houses using used cardboard. The children helped to paint them, find material to decorate them (straw and sticks), and decorate the houses.
The children also created pig art and craft using tissue roll.
In Cooking Class, we made red rice flour pancake in a shape of pig. The pancake was so cute and of course delicious.
Here are some more pictures of the week:
Geckos and Starling had Green Studies together. Pak Brett took us for a walk to visit the compost station.
