Grade 2B Week 35

A special thanks to Audrey for her original fairy tale puppet show and her mom, Ibu Leslie, for sharing the Balinese fairy tale!

Dear Parents, Grade 2 –  OUTDOOR CAMP for 2 days.

Green Camp is geographically set only a few metres away from our classrooms and offers an extended and complementary experience for your child.  Camp provides an experience that cultivates an understanding and appreciation of nature, community and oneself through an unforgettable learning adventure.  Our special partnership with Green Camp provides yet another opportunity to better understand and appreciate the multifaceted values of nature and enhances a child’s confidence as young “green leaders” and risk takers – all rolled up in plenty of fun and challenging activities. The activities provided during the camp will encompass many of our Green School Skills as well as being delivered in an exciting and memorable way.

I am excited to share with you some information regarding your child’s camp for this year and to also ask for your help with some extra details to ensure the camp runs smoothly.

A few weeks ago in art, students continued their feather study by drawing a detailed sketch onto a piece of scratch art paper. The children used a pointed wooden tool to carefully remove the black surface, revealing the white paper beneath it. This is a fun way to explore lines, pattern and detail.

Thanks Ibu Penelope for the cool play!
