We hope you had a relaxing weekend with our little grade 4 birdies. We are already more than halfway through this term, and the students have accomplished a great deal in such a short time after the break week in October. We are so proud of them!
For numeracy, we have worked on different strategies for mental addition and subtraction. Students also improved their abilities to solve mathematical problems depending on their level. Our beautiful grade 4 beings have also been involved in creating mathematical board games that will be presented at the thematic gallery in December.
In literacy, the Putih group started focusing on different styles of poetry, while the Merah group are writing correspondence letters to Canadian students from a nature-based primary school on Salt Spring Island. Both grade 4 groups have finished their written stories about their flying creatures in collaboration with Ibu Gena, our art teacher.
The students also visited a local school to establish friendly connections and learn about their education. It was a very productive and humanitarian activity. Another extremely interesting project that our young students have made is in collaboration with Belgian artists, founders of Rooftoptiger. The project is about a low-technology choreography with a slow-motion explosion as a farewell ceremony to the individualistic era.
Please remind your children to bring their proper shoes for PW, water bottle, and hat.
Please remember our assembly tomorrow.
Thank you for reading and have a great week!
