Ibu Nicola’s week

Literacy – last week we covered in depth similes vs metaphor, including extended metaphor, which was great to see the students grasp! Then we worked on characterisation in the novel, and how metaphors have been used to describe the characters, as well as to cross reference musical pieces.

Thematic – Grade 7 amazed me with a variety of theories regarding their philosophy of happiness. They deconstructed the work of Aristotle well, which is no easy feat!

Jalan Jalan – we have been on site inspections as a group, all of which were so inspiring! We look like we have some interesting camps going forward. This week we will be solidifying our plans – activities, budgets, logistics etc. The students have amazed me with their engagement in this Jalan-Jalan.
