iHUB Summer Workshop
During the summer break, Innovation Hub at Green School organized Summer Workshop for age 5 — Primary School and Adults. We had 15 kids signed up for Summer Workshop and more than 5 adults joined private class.
All the material for Kids workshop were used stuff like cardboard, plastic bag, toilet paper roll and so on which we got from Kembali.
We did so many fun activities especially for age 5 — Primary School as listed below:
Fun Paper Activities
Upcycling Fabric and Plastic
Puppet Making from discarded cardboard
Recycled Paper Making
Fun Mobile Art
Drawing, Coloring and Story Telling
For adults, there were Laser Cutting Class, Glass Cutting Class, and Wood Engraving Class.
We received positive feedback from participants and their parents as you can see it in our Instagram or Facebook feed (ihubgreenschool). A parent said that Summer Workshop helped a lot their children to be prepared in school year as they started their primary school this year at The Green School. Their kids had so much fun and learned new things.
As iHub was active during the summer break, we worked on our projects: business card order, preparing iHub’s product and work with Kembali in some project.
Along with KemBali, the Green School’s resource management center, we are organizing a shipment to Lombok, NTB to help people effected by the two recent heavy earthquakes in the area. So far we have collected 3 boxes of clothing, school supplies and toys from parents and the Green School community’ donation last school year.
