Kindergarten A – Week 1

Wow what a first 3 days we have had down in Kindergarten A!  We started straight into our theme of All about me – friendships and feelings.

We played lots of getting to know each other games to learn each others names and start to find out a little bit about each other. We discovered what we had done over the summer and some of things we like to do, play and even how we travel to school. There were a lot of things that were similar and we had in common with each other but also things that were different that make each of us special.

and thoughts we can have whizzing in our heads. We watched the glitter slowly settle and breathed like butterflies to help us be calm.

Kindy A took the time to explore our area and also the school site. Those that were in Starlings last year were our Green School Experts and they shared lots of great  information with their new classmates.

We thought about the creatures we shared Green School with and drew ones  we could find in Early Years. I don’t think any of us realised quite how many animal, mini-beast and fish friends we would find right by our classroom!   We have also chosen our own special animals. Can you work our the animals we chose?

After a lot of debate and a secret ballot Kindergarten A have chosen our new class animal and name too! We are excited to share that we are now…..

On Friday we had our first PE lesson with Pak Garrett and Pak Putu. We practised two foot jumps and stops, frog hopping and getting used to our space. We worked on playing and moving safely in the gym.  We also went to the library and read a story with Ibu Ayu Rosita. We got to choose our own books to take home! We can swap them next Friday when we visit her in the library again.

Have a wonderful weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone again on Monday.

Ibu Pipit, Ibu Pegi and Ibu Jo.
