Wow. What a week for Kindy B. We had so much fun making puppets in our classroom and have started learning our songs and dances for the Indonesian Assembly. With Bamboopalooza happening, it has probably been the most fun week so far this year.
In our literacy class we are working on the ‘g’ sound and all the students had so much fun drawing ‘m’ all over the floor of Kindy A. 🙂
Yoga taught us about the “boat” poses (back to back), P.E. had us play the lava game where we needed to go to the opposite side without touching the group, cooking klapper taart was also something fun and new for all of us and Bambajam had us all play a note in twinkle twinkle.
In addition to all that, we welcomed Ibu Audrey to the class this morning and she shared a few Halloween stories with the class to everyone’s delight.
In Green Studies, we worked on the Energy hub building (which is currently in the plastering stage). It is likely the best activity for students of Kindergarten age as we get to have fun playing in the mud and also participate in the building of something that will be seen by everyone at green school for years to come. I think we all had fun (see the photos below). Next we get to cover the mud with the lime powder (making it white and ready for painting). Stay tuned.
And what an amazing turnout for Bamboopalooza. Kudos to all the parents and staff who worked so hard to make it so much fun. I know at least one Kindy Green Studies and Music teacher who is super excited for Halloween next week and I know the Kindys are also looking forward to everyones super fun clothes and the day of treats and surprises.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend and will hope to see you on Monday. Pak Brett
