MS Weekly Blog

Hi MS Community

We have had an awesome week in the MS. Here is just a snapshot of some of the cool things that happened in our classrooms.

Grade 7 student Hazel recently completed in an international windsurfing event in Australia – and he won!!!

We have Mepantigan-Archery in the MS Physical electives – as a common all-year option (that we highly recommend). Here are some cool photos from the last session of Block 3.

Some of our Maths classes started Geometry units this week. Here are some photos of students learning different types of angles in a different way (ie. Human dancing robots programmed by angles):

The Grade 8 students did their ‘speed-pitch’ activity for their mini-Quests –

The new Green School Calendar (a MS Art project) is available for sale in the GS Shop – check it out

In the Grade 7 Edible Garden Project (supporting SDG #2 – End Hunger), the 7th-grade students have been working diligently this year to get their Edible Garden project off the ground. Along the way, they came to realize they will need some capital in the initial stages for a few of the project elements. This week, our project entrepreneurs – JJ, Sidney, and Sevan – secured a student loan with Pak Wayan Carma. With this loan, the students will finally be able to move forward with phase 2 of the project and prepare for their first week at the Green School Farmers Market Keep your eyes open and your stomachs hungry as you look for the 7th Grade Edible Garden booth.

We hope you had a great week – we definitely did in the MS.
