Dear Parents and Friends,
This second week of school was filled with joy and fun. The children are adapting to the new environment and form relationships with other children and adults in the Early Years. They are becoming more independent and able to follow the routines of our school days.
We were exploring the thematic lesson “My Family and Me” through songs, games, and stories. The students also created art projects related to the theme.
The students participated in their first cooking class. We made healthy fruit lassie. Each of them helping in the process of making the healthy drink.
We visited the cow with its new born baby named Agoos. The children were so excited and they fed the cows.
We had our first Yoga Class with Ibu Russlee at the Yoga Studio. Ibu Russlee taught the children some animal’s poses. We also played “Crocodile River” and “Wheels on the Bus”.
In Green Studies Class with Pak Brett, we walked around Green Camp to find some animals that live there and explored some kinds of plants. Then Pak Brett played guitar for us in Music Class. The children also had a chance to play musical instruments and played “Musical Statue”.
Today, class visited Library and met Ibu Ayu, the librarian. Everyone was able to borrow one book to bring to the classroom.
Next week, we will continue our exploration of the beautiful Green School campus, meet more of our specialist teachers and create projects based on the thematic lesson. Just a gentle reminder to please bring in a family photograph for our classroom display board. If you need help printing the photograph, please email the image to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can print it at school. There will be also Early Years Potluck Breakfast on Wednesday, August 24. An email has been sent by Ibu Suci for the details.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend. We will see you on Monday.
