What a second week it has been! From sharing stories using our story artifacts, playing a place value game in mathematics, learning the origins of languages, learning how NOT to disturb snakes in Green Studies, and everything in between, we have had a busy time! Not to mention all the excitement of Merdeka, Resi Gana, and Saraswati!
One of the major highlights of the week has to be the Independence Day celebration games organized by all our Indonesian teachers. A field day-style morning that was filled with movement, community building, and plenty of cheering and dancing for one another, we were challenged all sorts of ways to think, maneuver, and work as a team. After all our running around, it was fun to sample all the delicious Indonesian treats and relax on the great lawn.
Here are some reminders for the week ahead:
Mondays and Tuesdays are Sports/PE days. Please remind your child to wear closed trainers/sports shoes. An extra change of clothing on these days is optional.
Fridays we have Library class; children will be responsible for borrowing and returning library books.
If your student has not yet brought in a story artifact, please remind them to do so in order for them to share a story about themselves and write their first personal narrative! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
