This year in Indonesia the solar eclipse falls on March 9th, the auspicious day of Nyepi in Bali. The eclipse will be partially visible in Bali and fully visible in Sulawesi and Sumatra.
Viewing of solar eclipse is a rare lifetime experience, a natural phenomenon that is both thrilling and awe inspiring.
The solar eclipse will start Wednesday 9th March at 07.22am, will be at it’s maximum at 08.27am and finish at 09.42 am (Denpasar time). The total duration will be of 2hr20 and it will be approximately 75% to 80% eclipsed.
In order to gain the most out of viewing a solar eclipse special glasses should be worn to ensure protection of the eyes against the damaging effects of ultra-violet, infrared and intense visible light.
PT Surya Namaskar provides Eclipse Glasses and Viewing Shields specifically for this occasion that are CE certified and constructed to meet transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN171/2011+A3:2014.
The lenses are made from exclusive scratch resistant optical density 5, black polymer material and filter 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of infrared rays and 99.9% of intense visible light. They have been imported from U.S.A.
