Week 7 in 4A!

Dear Parents and Families,

Another week has gone by. In this busy week, Grade 4A are continuing their learning journey in finishing their reticulated python snake project. The students have divided into groups dedicated to creating the head, body and skin of our python. The students are very enthusiastic about this project. We are nearly ready to finish the construction phase and design the performance art that will surround the presentation of their project.

In Literacy, we used visual representations of ideas through comics with text in our Grade 4 Mirror writing assignment. Students showcased their goals for Grade 4, wrote about what they are great at, showcased their feelings and how they connect with each others.

In Gardening, we went to the compost station to collect and bring back buckets of compost, dropped it into our garden beds and mixed the land with the compost. Some of the students were watering the land, and the other students mixed the land with the compost.

In Indonesian culture we learned about some of Indonesian foods that are so famous like Bakso (Meatball), Soto, Sate (Satay), Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice), Babi Guling (pork), Es Campur, and many more.

In Bahasa Indonesia we learned about classroom instructions like duduk (sit down), diam (silent), berdiri (stand up), duduk melingkar (sit in circle) and also we play and made the classroom instructions.
