Dear 4A Families,
Next week is Galungan, a Balinese celebration that symbolises the winning of good things (dharma) against bad things (adharma). And we only have Monday and Thursday to school. We did some activities regarding this celebration, where we set up stations of card making, gelang gelang and penjor decoration making. Also we have cooking class in Bahasa Indonesia to make one of Balinese cakes called dadar gulung (a type of pancake with grated coconut and brown sugar in it).
Next week’s focus:
– Thematics: Fire building and survival kits
– Maths: Fraction intro
– English: Reading strategies, Novel study and Writer’s Workshop
– Indonesian Culture: Galungan and Bajau tribe discussion
We have some photos to share with all families about 4A activities this week. Please have a look!
