What We’ve Been Up To This Week: LEAPing, Designing, Building, Merdeka Games

It’s been a great first week of classes in the high school. Leap started the week with a challenge to create a field trip for our primary students. They needed to assess the risk, consider how to make it engaging, and plan out the logistics. These pics are the group checking out the site.

Students in the Earthbag Building Jalan Jalan began making models for the OROS hub that will be built on campus. They even got dirty and dug in to clear the land for the building.

Grade 12 students launched their Green Stone journey with a project management workshop. While unlikely that any of the Class of 2018 will choose to build a new classroom out of dry spaghetti and marshmallows, the principles we learned will help them progress in any project. We also had fun!

“What is My Purpose?”

Woah…. Way beyond, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up? eh? We created personal Venn Diagrams in class in our Pathways notebooks on this model.

We even had time to get together with Middle School students to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day with Merdeka games in the gym and on the field.
